1.1 - Ascended - Anneleigh is killed and awakens in the Sanctuary of the Ascended. She meets the Messenger of the Vigil, learns of the betrayal of the king and decides her fate.

1.3 - First Blood - Anneleigh is directed to Thontic's Fountain by Fayne. She makes her first blows as an Ascended and is told about the danger to the Ward by Borrin Gammult and Shyla Starhearth.
1.4 - The Shrine - Shyla sends Anneleigh to the Shrine of Tavril to seek a blessing on the elven blade. She finds herself in an ambush situation and is lectured by a cultist on the benefits of a world ruled by Regulos.
1.5 - Extra - The Decline of the Mathosian Empire - an account of proclamations made in Mathosia during the final months of the kingdom. (In game viewable missives)

1.7 - Technomancy - Anneleigh uses the blessing of the Vigil to help Carwin Mathos clear Ardenburgh square of Deathbound Thralls. She enters Bloodmurk Grove to retrieve Sourcestones from Defiant Technomancers.
1.8 - Extra - The Journals of Prince Zareph Mathos - the journal entries made by the Prince on the days leading up to, and immediately following, the shade of Telara. (In game Collectable Book)
1.9 - Thedeor Fields - Anneleigh is sent by Cyril Kalmar to place a sourcestone orb in a Vigil Alter.
1.10- EXTRA! From the journal of Maura Reinhard - A VERY short excerpt from www.riftgame.com from the point of view of someone who "lived through" the shade.
1.11 - Orphiel Fairwind - Anneleigh encounters Orphiel Fairwind while attempting to dismantle his machine.
1.12 - The Shade of Regulos - Anneleigh is called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice; enter the rift and shatter the body of Aedraxis.
